Oh my God, it's full of stars!
An artsy village — Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
Ubud is about an hour away from Kuta, but the feel is totally different. While it’s still filled with tourists and motorbikes, the vibe is calmer and (I thought, at least) a lot nicer. Ubud is known as sort of the art and cultural capital of Bali – and you can definitely tell.
When you’re wandering around, there are art shops, museums and galleries everywhere. If you are a person looking to buy some art for an apartment, Ubud is the place!
Since we only had one night and one full day there, we tried to make the most of it. After we arrived, we headed to a restaurant called Naughty Nuri’s – famous for their barbecue and top-notch martinis! On the way we walked by a Balinese Dance performance, so stopped to watch for awhile. Needless to say, we were starving when we got to the restaurant, and it did not let us down! I definitely definitely recommend making a stop at Naughty Nuri’s for anyone heading to Ubud – we actually ended up going twice while we were there.
Aside from that, we spent the day again just wandering and exploring. We checked out the Monkey Forest, the Puri Lukisan Museum of Balinese art, the Ubud market, and headed to a spa for some traditional reflexology massage.
Although we were only in Bali for 3 nights, time seems to slow down when you’re on vacation. It felt much longer, and completely different from Singapore. It was good for a change.
We arrived back in Sing around 2:30am on Sunday night… getting up Monday for work was tough!! Work is going well though, and busy – so this week has flown by! That being said… I’m excitedly planning a trip to Pulau Perhentian in Malaysia with a friend for the Easter long weekend.
Hope all’s well at home, and love to everyone from this side of the world.
